“I live in the US. I order from Essential Fly because they have some items that are hard to find here (i.e. nanosilk and quality CDC). The orders are filled accurately and delivery time is less than expected given the borders involved.”

“Excellent service at all times. Their tapered dry fly leaders are superb & great value for money. The Predator Fibre is also excellent for tying streamers & I've had good success recently with small streamers for barble on my local river.”

“The coffee at The Essential Fly's new shop was free and well worth a visit on it's own. The staff were relaxed, happy, helpful and knowledgable. When I wasn't sure of the exact colour of a hen cape, they just sent me outside to look at in daylight. I went in looking for some hooks and came out with considerably more: their Semperfli 0.3mm tinsel is brilliant, the first tinsel I've found that is in proportion for #20 flies. I've always been impressed with their on-line store and the speed of dispatch and the shop is just as good.”

“Very good tied flies. Quick delivery. The last order, I ordered Hares Ear Diawl Bach. They delivered some completely different flies. Contacted the company about the issue, and they sent me some new flies. Unfortunately they were also wrong (Brown Polish Woven Nymphs :-) ) Shit happens. Overall I´m very satisfied with the quality of their flies and their service. Be back soon for another purchase.”

“The service was excellent - the postage sensible by British Mail for such an item. Other firms wanted postage at several times the price of the product, which is lunatic. I was under the impression from the website that the tapered casts were plain but they arrived with droppers, which is why I gave four stars and not five. Thanks anyway - no loss at the price charged.”

“found this super place close to home for me, so have not used their on line shop,as I can go there direct. You get a very warm welcome, and always an offer of tea or coffee, and plenty of time to browse the well stocked shelves, which contain just about everything the game angler could want, and if by chance what you want is not in stock Andrew will get it for you.
